Gwangju Nam-gu Council Holds Orientation for Elected Members
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Nam-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City held an orientation for 11 elected members in a small conference room on the 21st.
The orientation was the first meeting after the election of the district council members, where the Secretariat Director explained the council's status, session management, and other operational policies.
Ahead of the council's opening, detailed guidance was provided on member registration, election of the chairperson group, legislative schedules, prohibitions on holding concurrent positions, property registration procedures, and other important matters for council members' activities.
The 11 elected council members in attendance discussed the direction of their legislative activities for the next four years and pledged to maintain their original intentions and carry out legislative work together with residents beyond their home constituencies.

The Nam-gu Council will complete the formation of the council, including the chairperson election, on the 4th of next month, and hold an opening ceremony on the 5th to begin full-scale duties.
