Seoul City Promotes 'Excellence Certification for Safety Management of Multi-Use Facilities'... Applications Accepted Until the 15th of Next Month
After On-Site Verification and Review Meeting, Outstanding Businesses to Be Announced via Media on November 9
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 21st that it will accept applications for the Excellent Safety Management Certification for Multi-use Facilities until the 15th of next month.
The Excellent Safety Management Certification for Multi-use Facilities is a system aimed at enhancing business owners' voluntary safety awareness and creating a safe environment. It targets 37,241 multi-use facilities operating in Seoul.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters selects multi-use facilities with outstanding fire safety management performance, awards commendations to business owners, and publicly announces excellent safety management facilities through various media. Through this, they plan to promote multi-use facilities with excellent safety management as model cases and encourage voluntary fire safety enhancement among multi-use facilities.
Facilities wishing to receive the excellent certification must submit the application form and other documents to the fire station with jurisdiction over the location of the business by July 15. Detailed information can be found on the Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters website and the websites of the 25 fire stations in Seoul.
Excellent safety management facilities will be finalized after document review and on-site inspection, and will be announced through media on November 9, 'Firefighting Day.' The certification for the finally selected excellent multi-use facilities is valid for two years, during which they are exempt from special fire inspections and fire safety education, receive an excellent facility certification mark, and business owners are awarded commendations from the fire station chief.
