Hanjin and NongHyup Employees Volunteer to Help at Grape Farms in Hwaseong
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hanjin Co., Ltd. Hanjin and 60 executives and employees from Nonghyup visited a grape farm in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province on the 20th to volunteer for labor assistance. They helped with stem trimming and covering work at farms facing labor shortages due to aging and the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. The volunteer activity was attended by Hanjin CEO No Sam-seok, Future Strategy and Marketing General Manager President Cho Hyun-min, Nonghyup Central Association Vice Chairman Lee Jae-sik, and Nonghyup Logistics CEO Lim Kwan-bin.

Hanjin has been consistently conducting rural volunteer activities since 2018 in cooperation with local Nonghyup branches. The company operates Nonghyup Courier in partnership with Nonghyup Logistics to improve convenience for farmers using agricultural product delivery services and to reduce logistics costs for agricultural products. A company official explained, "We are leading win-win cooperation through various shared value creation activities to increase the actual income of farmers."
