On the 20th, the Arts Council announced that, in collaboration with the public institutions relocated to Naju Innovation City, including the Creative Content Agency and the Korea Institute of Planning and Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture, and Forestry, they jointly operated the campaign from the 7th to the 17th of this month to mark World Environment Day on the 5th. The campaign featured various programs such as ice pack collection and a low-carbon commuting challenge to encourage eco-friendly practices.
During the campaign period, employees participated in a car-free day (once). They also received education from energy consultants of the Jeonnam Climate and Environment Network on reducing greenhouse gas emissions both at the institutions and at home.
Additionally, a local eco-friendly product pop-up store was set up to provide new sales channels for local small business owners considering sustainability and to promote valuable consumption.
Employees from each institution collected over 200 ice packs and delivered them to small business owners in the Naju area. Furthermore, they donated 100 eco-friendly soap-making kits to childcare facilities in Naju, supporting children to make and use soap themselves.
Earlier, the three institutions signed a memorandum of understanding on the 7th to jointly operate the 'Value, Green Campaign.' According to the agreement, the three institutions plan to actively cooperate to ▲ enhance collaboration on eco-friendly contribution activities ▲ actively share infrastructure and resources among institutions to promote community contribution activities ▲ and work on community coexistence and solving local issues based on mutual trust, thereby practicing community social responsibility and ESG management.
