'AIFB Jam Session' is KT's AI talent development industry-academia cooperation program, comprehensively composed of coaching and contests for AI project execution as well as AIFB certification. It is a talent development program designed to build practical skills tailored to university demands that require hands-on experience in AI development as conducted in the field.
In this competition, held for the first time in collaboration with Sangmyung University, participants will carry out projects that discover ideas to solve economic and social problems using AI, secure data, and implement AI modeling. About 70 participants proposed various AI utilization ideas in the preliminary round that began in May, and after evaluation, a total of eight teams advanced to the finals with projects such as 'Establishing Food Truck Business Strategies Using AI' and 'Predicting Causes of Stray Animals.'
The finalist teams will develop AI models and implement prototypes over approximately two months based on their discovered ideas. During this process, Sangmyung University professors specializing in AI and KT developers will participate as coaches, providing theoretical and technical support necessary for the projects and sharing industry know-how to assist students in problem-solving. Finalist teams will also be offered opportunities to take the AI Ready course and apply for the AIFB certification, part of the AIFB education program.
KT and Sangmyung University will select three teams through a final evaluation in early September and award prizes under the names of the KT CEO and the President of Sangmyung University. Outstanding projects will later be developed into teaching materials for AI practical training and utilized in Sangmyung University's AI education curriculum.
