Dongshin University 'Re: Designing Classes' Teaching Method Workshop
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Teaching and Learning Center of the Education Innovation Institute at Dongshin University (Center Director Professor Im Sujin) announced on the 16th that it conducted a series of teaching method workshops online under the theme "Re: Designing Classes" on the 14th and 15th.
The lectures were given in sequence by Professor Hong Hyojung of Korea Maritime and Ocean University on "Innovative Teaching Methods and Class Re-Design," and Professor Kim Minjung of Dankook University on "Generation Z Learners and Microlearning."
In response to the transition to face-to-face classes following the lifting of social distancing measures, the sessions provided time to reconsider various class operation methods such as the use of non-face-to-face platforms, face-to-face interactions, and hybrid class methods, and to systematize class design.

Professor Im Sujin, head of the Teaching and Learning Center at Dongshin University, said, "Our university has so far designed classes tailored to the needs and characteristics of learners, establishing a system where learners can learn well on their own," adding, "As we enter a new era after COVID-19, I hope instructors reflect on the relationship between class objectives and concrete implementation to be able to redesign their classes."
