According to the Sacheon Maritime Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 14th, a report was received from a city hall employee that a 1.5-ton cargo truck had fallen into the sea near Woldeungdo, Bito-ri, Seopo-myeon, Sacheon City that day.
The Coast Guard dispatched the land patrol team and rescue squad from Noryang Police Substation to the scene to rescue the vehicle occupants and inspect the site.
According to the Coast Guard, the vehicle driven by 25-year-old male resident A from Woldeungdo had its wheels stuck in the mudflats while entering Woldeungdo at around 5:40 PM on the 13th. When the vehicle became inoperable, the driver and two passengers evacuated to the mainland.
The Sacheon Coast Guard rescue team confirmed that although the seawater had risen to high tide, submerging the vehicle up to its roof, there was no one inside.

The rescue team towed the vehicle submerged in seawater to the mainland at around 1:30 AM the next day, coinciding with low tide when the seawater level was at its lowest.
