Exchange Holds First Half-Year Meeting with Member Company CEOs
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Korea Exchange (KRX) announced on the 14th that it held the '2022 First Half CEO Meeting of Member Companies.'
The meeting, held over two days on the 13th and 14th, was the first in two years due to the COVID-19 situation. It was organized to share major capital market issues with members and gather their opinions, aiming to strengthen two-way communication and bonds between KRX and its member companies.
At this meeting, presentations and discussions were held on key exchange issues including ▲ progress on the next-generation system construction ▲ major institutional improvements in the KOSDAQ market ▲ the proprietary night market for derivatives and the OTC derivatives trading compression system. In addition, broad discussions took place on various capital market issues such as the establishment of ATS and responses to the digital asset market.
Chairman Byungdoo Son stated, “We will continue to strengthen communication with member companies on market issues for the development of our capital market,” adding, “We plan to actively reflect the diverse perspectives and opinions of member companies in the exchange’s major institutional improvements and the operation of securities and derivatives markets.”
