"Preemptive Compensation for Unjust Return Fees" Balan Strengthens Return Policy
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Luxury commerce platform Ballan is taking steps to resolve the issue of excessive return shipping fees charged by purchasing agency vendors.
Ballan announced on the 14th that it will introduce a cap on return shipping fees for vendors and conduct a thorough investigation of cases where excessive return fees were charged over the past year, providing compensation to affected customers. Additionally, it plans to strengthen management of vendors who overcharge return fees.
As Ballan expanded its platform to include domestic and international vendors, consumers experienced confusion due to varying return shipping fees from different vendors. To address this, Ballan has been coordinating with vendors to inform consumers of the actual return shipping fees.
Furthermore, Ballan plans to introduce a cap on return shipping fees to prevent consumers from suffering due to excessive fees when returning items due to a change of mind, and will identify vendors who overcharge and recommend corrective actions. It will also strengthen the screening criteria for vendors to prevent consumer inconvenience.
As a result, consumers will be able to view detailed information on return shipping costs and customs duties related to overseas purchasing agency products at a glance during the purchase process.
In particular, Ballan has conducted a thorough investigation of cases involving excessive return fees and plans to individually notify and proactively compensate customers who were unfairly charged. Customers who suspect unfair return fee charges can contact Ballan Customer Center for inquiries.
