View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (HCIA) dismissed a case in which Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon was reported by a civic group for obstructing the execution of a search and seizure warrant issued against him in relation to the 'Channel A incident.'
According to the legal community on the 13th, the HCIA dismissed the case in April in which the civic group Judicial Justice Citizens' Action accused Minister Han of abuse of authority, obstruction of the exercise of rights, and obstruction of official duties.
Dismissing a case is a disposition that concludes the case without substantive judgment when the conditions for litigation are not met.

Previously, the civic group claimed that Minister Han obstructed the prosecution's execution of a search and seizure related to the 'Channel A incident' in July 2020 and attempted to destroy evidence, and reported this to the HCIA.
