On the 13th (Korean time) at the Bay Course (par 71, 6,190 yards) of Seaview Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey, USA, Brooke Henderson surged with a 7-under-par on the final day of the LPGA Tour ShopRite Classic (total prize money $1.75 million) to tie with Lindsey Weaver Wright (USA) at 12-under-par 201. Then, on the first hole of the playoff at the 18th hole (par 5), she secured the victory with an eagle. This marks her 11th career win, her first in 1 year and 2 months since the LA Open last April, with a winner's prize of $262,500 (336 million KRW).
Henderson debuted on the LPGA Tour in 2015 and is a star player representing Canada. As a former 'No. 1 amateur,' she became the first Canadian player in history to achieve 10 wins combined on the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour. She also competed in the 2016 Rio Olympics (tied 7th) and the 2021 Tokyo Olympics (tied 29th). Her older sister Brittany, who has experience playing on the LPGA Epson (development) Tour, served as her caddie.
Starting from a tie for 9th place, 4 strokes behind, Henderson collected 1 eagle and 5 birdies without any bogeys. She ignited her chase with 'stepping stone birdies' on holes 1 and 3, followed by a birdie on the 6th hole (par 4) and an eagle on the 9th hole (par 5) to enter the title race. She added birdies on the 12th hole (par 4) and the final 18th hole, dramatically forcing a playoff. Her precise tee shots with a 100% fairway hit rate and 'pinpoint iron shots' with an 88.89% greens in regulation rate powered her performance.

She added with a big smile, "I'm still excited. I'm even happier to win in a tournament where my parents were with me." Regarding the playoff eagle, she explained, "It was a really solid shot. My shot feel was good this year, but my putting was not following, so I got a good result at the end."
Weaver Wright performed well with 6 birdies but was satisfied with second place. This is her personal best with five top-10 finishes in total. Jodi Ewart Shadoff (England) finished 3rd (11-under-par 202), Lydia Ko (New Zealand) tied for 4th (10-under-par 203), and Nasa Hataoka (Japan) and Alex Marina (USA) tied for 6th (9-under-par 204). Defending champion C?line Boutier (France) posted 8-under-par to rise to a tie for 9th (8-under-par 205).
