[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The transition committee for the 8th elected mayor of Gangbuk-gu officially launched its activities on the 8th by holding an inauguration ceremony at the Gangbuk Culture and Arts Center.
At the inauguration ceremony, Lee Soon-hee, the elected mayor of Gangbuk-gu, appointed the transition committee members and advisory committee members by presenting them with appointment letters, thereby forming the transition committee. The committee is composed of 11 members divided into four subcommittees: Planning and Finance, Administration, Health and Welfare, and Urban Construction.
Kim Sang-eon, chairman of the Gangbuk-gu Council of the Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, was appointed as the chairperson of the transition committee, and Jo Kyung-ae, former secretary-general of the Population and Health Welfare Association, was appointed as the vice-chairperson and secretary of the Health and Welfare subcommittee.
Additionally, 10 advisory committee members were appointed, including Kang Young-jo, former chairman of the Gangbuk-gu Urban Management Corporation. Following this, the transition committee held a plaque ceremony to mark the official start of the 8th elected term.
From this day forward, each subcommittee of the transition committee began reviewing the campaign promises of the 8th elected term and started establishing detailed tasks for fulfilling these promises. The transition committee will continue its activities until the end of this month to prepare for the launch of the 8th elected term.
