At 9:28 PM on the 4th, such a radio message was received by Lieutenant Bang Gwan-young of the Daechi Police Substation, Suseo Police Station. It had been only three minutes since they arrived at the park after receiving a report that a group of middle and high school students were making loud noises. Seeing no unusual noise at the park, Lieutenant Bang immediately headed to the Chinese restaurant. Upon arrival, a man identified as Mr. A claimed he had been assaulted by Mr. B, the restaurant owner. CCTV footage was unavailable, and since both parties wanted to file a report, the police prepared a 'confirmation of investigation process and statement' and officially registered the case.
While handling this case, a noise complaint from a bar was received, but due to limited resources, another team was dispatched. As the peak time of 11 PM arrived, reports flooded in. Around 11:40 PM, a suspicious school violence report came in: "A student is carrying a baseball bat, and another student following behind seems to be getting dragged along." The police patrolled around Apartment A, where the report originated, driving around in patrol cars and even getting out to check the reconstruction construction site and behind villas.
