"2030 Generation and Organizational Culture Innovation" KT&G Launches 2nd Term of 'Sangsang Junior Board'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT&G announced on the 2nd that it held the inauguration ceremony for the 2nd term of the ‘Sangsang Junior Board,’ which will lead organizational culture innovation representing employees in their 20s and 30s, at KT&G’s Seoul headquarters on the 31st of last month.
The Sangsang Junior Board is an organizational culture improvement council aimed at creating a better workplace by listening to the opinions of young members and facilitating communication with management. For this 2nd term, a total of 10 members were selected through an internal recruitment process from nationwide institutions including headquarters, sales, and manufacturing. Over the next 10 months, the members will represent the 2030 generation in each field to diagnose organizational culture and lead innovation.
In particular, this 2nd term will take the lead in establishing a ‘culture of diversity and inclusion’ that recognizes individual values beyond generations and ranks. Through this, the plan is to build an advanced organizational culture where members respect each other and can maximize their individual capabilities.
Since 2015, KT&G has been leading communication management by operating the ‘Sangsang Realization Committee,’ the predecessor of the Sangsang Junior Board. Last year, to strengthen communication with the 2030 generation, which is the company’s future growth engine, the Sangsang Junior Board was launched. The 1st term of the Sangsang Junior Board actively communicated with management by reflecting diverse employee opinions, achieving organizational culture improvements such as promoting flexible work hours, strengthening psychological care for members, and operating the ‘Modern Leader’ program that suggests leadership suitable for recent trends.
