At around 6:40 a.m. that day, Candidate Kim visited her office and said, "I am grateful for the overwhelming support," and "I also send my congratulations to Candidate Kim Dong-yeon, who was elected Governor of Gyeonggi Province."
She continued, "There is no ruling or opposition party when it comes to the development of Gyeonggi Province," and added, "I ask that you cooperate with the Yoon Seok-yeol administration and repay the residents of Gyeonggi Province."

She also said, "I was unable to win due to my shortcomings. I lost, but you did not lose," and "With the passion the people have shown for the People Power Party in this local election, I hope you will send even greater strength for the normalization of the Republic of Korea."
