Former Disney CEO Invests in 'Canva'
[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] Former World Disney CEO Bob Iger is investing in Australian design platform company Canva, CNBC reported on the 29th (local time).
According to the report, Iger agreed to acquire shares in Canva and serve as an advisor to the company. A Canva spokesperson stated, "We are very pleased to welcome Iger as an investor and advisor," adding, "Bob has 15 years of extensive experience leading one of the world's most beloved and creative brands. We look forward to working with him."
The exact scale of the investment was not disclosed. As of last September, Canva's corporate value was estimated at $40 billion. CNBC reported that Canva, headquartered in Sydney, has over 75 million monthly users.
