View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The National Election Commission announced that the voter turnout at 9 a.m. on the second day of early voting for the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections on the 28th was recorded at 11.81%.
Voting began simultaneously at all polling stations nationwide at 6 a.m. that day. Out of a total of 44,303,449 eligible voters, 5,233,258 had completed voting.

So far, Jeonnam (19.77%) has the highest voter turnout, followed by Gangwon (15.27%), Jeonbuk (15.2%), Gyeongbuk (14.12%), and Chungbuk (12.63%). The lowest turnout was recorded in Daegu at 8.21%, followed by Gwangju (9.89%), Gyeonggi (10.57%), Busan (10.72%), and Daejeon (11.0%). The voter turnout in the metropolitan area was 11.68% in Seoul and 11.24% in Incheon.
