SIMTOS is one of the world's four major machine tool exhibitions, hosted by the Korea Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association every two years. This exhibition is being held for the first time in four years since 2018 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At this exhibition, Hanwha Precision Machinery displayed six new automatic lathe models, including the 'XD10' automatic lathe for processing small parts in the electrical and electronics industry such as 5th generation mobile communication (5G) connectors and mobile phone camera components, and the 'XDI32' and 'STL42' multi-tasking machines optimized for high precision and complex machining trends. They also showcased the 'XV20/XV26' and 'XD26III' models designed for processing medical parts such as implants.
In particular, the 'XV20/26', unveiled for the first time at this exhibition, is described by the company as a next-generation automatic lathe that actively reflects customer demand in the medical parts market by implementing high-precision machining and enhancing production flexibility tailored to small-lot, multi-product manufacturing environments. Gong Deokgeun, Executive Director of the Machine Tool Business Division at Hanwha Precision Machinery, said, "We will focus on providing innovative production manufacturing solutions to our customers through continuous development of new technologies and investments."
