GS25 Launches Godsaeng Bomb Beer... "A Modisumer Product for Soju-Beer Fans"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] GS25 announced on the 24th that starting from the 25th, it will sell Gotsaeng Bomb Beer nationwide in collaboration with HiteJinro.
Gotsaeng Bomb Beer is a modishumer (a consumer who creates product usage methods by mixing ingredients in their own way) beer that perfectly replicates the taste of the optimal recipe for making somaek (soju and beer mix) known on social media: the ratio of one-third soju to one-half beer.
With an alcohol content of 6.0%, the beer is designed with a green can featuring a soju bottle inside, playfully capturing the identity of somaek. This product was planned by the "Gotsaeng Planning Project," launched by GS25's MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) employees who wanted to create their own "life item."

A GS Retail official said, "MZ generation employees gathered to plan an alcoholic beverage with the somaek concept, which has become a representative drinking culture in Korea, so that anyone can conveniently enjoy it. We hope that through this fun modishumer beer, drinkers can overcome the somewhat subdued daily life due to COVID-19 with a special consumption experience."
