This comprehensive workshop was attended by 14 local support organizations to share the achievements of innovation ecosystem creation projects that have contributed to the revitalization of the Daegu Free Economic Zone and to discuss overall measures for fostering the regional medical industry.
The innovation ecosystem creation project is a program that the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority has been focusing on since 2020 to revitalize the free economic zone, shifting from a focus on ‘development and foreign investment attraction’ to becoming an ‘innovation growth hub.’
Active discussions were held on agendas such as discovering ways to integrate medical technology in the Sinseo Advanced Medical District with ICT technology in the Suseong Medical District, and exploring ways to advance the medical industry support system to foster the regional medical industry.
