[Photo] Korea Forest Service Holds On-Site Discussion on Ecological Restoration of Wildfire-Damaged Areas in Uljin and Samcheok
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] On the 18th, the Korea Forest Service held an on-site discussion at Deokgu County Park in Uljin-gun to explore ecological restoration strategies for the wildfire-damaged areas in the Uljin and Samcheok protected zones. The discussion was attended by the joint wildfire damage investigation team, the Ministry of Environment, the Cultural Heritage Administration, the Korean Federation for Environmental Movements, Green Korea United, the Korea Goral Protection Association, and local residents. At the meeting, participants discussed investigation plans and implementation methods by sector such as soil and vegetation in the wildfire-damaged areas, various ecological restoration techniques, and ways for the public to participate in forest restoration.
