Dongmyeong University Appoints Jin Ansun, Former Chicago Korean Association President, as Honorary Vice President

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Do-ing Talent Development University Dongmyung University appointed Jin An-sun, former president of the Chicago Korean Association, as honorary vice president, and 16 people including Korean association presidents from various regions in the United States and local Korean-American entrepreneurs as honorary ambassadors on the 13th.
The appointment ceremony held in Room 106 of the university's main administration building was also attended by Seo Ui-taek, chairman of the Dongmyung Cultural Foundation, and Lee Kwan-yi, executive director.
Jin An-sun, honorary vice president who received an honorary doctorate in business administration from Dongmyung University in 2016, has been actively involved as vice president of the Federation of Korean Associations in the Americas and chairman of the Chicago Advisory Council of the National Unification Advisory Council.
After graduating from university in Korea, Jin moved to the United States in 1969 and grew Jinny Beauty Corporation, founded in 1981, into a company with 15 branches.
She enhanced the status and pride of Koreans through the establishment of 'Ann S. Jhin Day' in 2013 and 'Ann S. Jhin Way' in 2015.
She received the Magnolia Medal of the Republic of Korea in 2013 and the Proud Korean Award in the National Prestige Promotion category from the Korean Journalists Association in 2015.
