Mujugun, Application and Registration for Agricultural Product Price Stabilization Support Project
Sumae Type 1, 10 Items... For Farmers Residing Over 1 Year
[Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hanho] Muju County announced on the 13th that it will accept applications for the ‘2022 Muju County Agricultural Products Price Stabilization Support Project’ until the 31st of this month.
The Agricultural Products Price Stabilization Support Project, aimed at reducing farmers' income and management cost burdens, targets farmers who have resided in Muju County for more than one year. Applicants can apply by bringing their agricultural management registration confirmation to the local agricultural cooperative’s production distribution center.
The eligible items under Purchase Type 1 include apples (Hongro, Fuji), grapes (Campbell, MBA, Jinok, Shine Muscat), fresh cheonma, fresh omija, watermelons (Heukmi, Black Winner), grains (millet, sorghum, foxtail millet), bokbunja, meoru, summer strawberries, and Cheonhwang jujube.
Notably, this year, two items?summer strawberries and Cheonhwang jujube?were added, expanding the list from 8 to 10 items.
Meanwhile, Muju County enacted and promulgated an ordinance on agricultural product price stabilization support in December 2018 and established an agricultural product price stabilization fund of 10 billion won. Last year, 4,326 farms (8,920 tons) received 6.208 billion won in fund support.
