View original imageOn the 13th, Eo Myeong-so, Director of the Transportation and Logistics Office at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), was appointed as the first Second Vice Minister of MOLIT under the Yoon Seok-yeol administration.
The new MOLIT Second Vice Minister, Eo Myeong-so, is from Goseong, Gangwon Province. He graduated from Sokcho High School and majored in Public Administration at Konkuk University. He earned a master's degree in Urban Environmental Management from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and a doctorate in Urban Administration from the University of Seoul.
He entered public service in 1984, working at Chuncheon City Hall, and passed the 37th Administrative Examination in 1993. Since then, he has held various positions including Director of the Logistics Industry Division, Public Relations Officer, and Director of the Metropolitan Urban Roads Division at the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs; and at MOLIT, he served as Director of Creative Administration, Director of Investment Strategy at the Saemangeum Development Agency, Director of the Wonju Regional Land Management Office, MOLIT Spokesperson, Director of Aviation Policy, and Director of Comprehensive Transportation Policy, covering urban policy as well as transportation, aviation, and logistics sectors.
He is well-versed in transportation fields such as logistics and aviation, and is recognized for his gentle personality, communication skills, and strong execution capabilities.
