Mayfield Hotel Seoul Launches Carnation Cake to Celebrate Teacher's Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Mayfield Hotel Seoul announced on the 12th that it will offer season-limited cakes perfect for expressing gratitude to someone special.
Released in celebration of Teacher's Day, the Carnation Cake is a fresh cream cake made with mascarpone cream and mango layered between soft sponge cake. The carnation is made by stacking chocolate-shaved petals and topped with edible gold flakes.
You can also find the Poli Cake, shaped like characters from the globally popular animation loved by children, Robocar Poli. The cake features a chocolate sponge made with black cocoa powder, coated with Valrhona dark chocolate ganache, and iced with vanilla buttercream. Clouds, stars, rainbows, and Poli cars hanging in the blue sky are crafted from sugarcraft.
