On the 12th, after completing candidate registration at the Election Commission in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, Ahn said, "This local election is really important for the success of the new government," adding, "I want to contribute a small strength so that we can properly win the elections in Gyeonggi Province, including this area (Bundang-gap), even if I have to throw my body into it."
He then targeted Lee, who is running in Gyeyang-eul, Incheon, saying, "For politicians, 'ties' are very important," explaining, "Because one needs to know every corner of the area, understand what problems exist, and have the will and affection for regional development to solve those problems."
Regarding his decision to run in Bundang-gap instead of Nowon, where he has ties, Ahn emphasized, "When Pangyo first became an IT valley, the first company to build its headquarters there was AhnLab," adding, "I recognized the development potential of this place earlier than anyone else and invested in it. That is why Pangyo is now called Korea's Silicon Valley, and I believe I have made a significant contribution."
He continued, "Many people were angered by the 'Daejang-dong incident' in Bundang," raising his voice, "I see this as an opportunity to restore the honor of the residents, and I believe the residents will show the results through this election."
When asked if he has an election strategy to face Kim Byung-kwan, who has extensive experience in local elections, Ahn replied, "I intend to focus on discussing what vision I have to further develop this area."
