Martial Arts Gwangju-Jeonnam, Promoting Export Commercialization with Women Venture Association
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea International Trade Association announced on the 12th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gwangju-Jeonnam Women’s Venture Association (President Wi Ji-yeon) to promote the export-oriented transformation of local women-led venture companies.
The agreement was signed at a forum event themed on coexistence and cooperation hosted by the Gwangju-Jeonnam Women’s Venture Association, attended by about 60 women venture entrepreneurs.
Following the signing of this MOU, the cooperating organizations plan to establish a support program cooperation system for the export-oriented transformation of domestic venture companies, including professional trade consulting, trade practice education, overseas marketing, and utilization of export support projects.
Going forward, the two organizations intend to join forces to identify promising women-led venture companies for export, strengthen their export capabilities, and promote the exchange of export know-how through companies that have acquired such capabilities.

Lee Kwon-jae, head of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters of the Trade Association, said, “Export can be an effective way for domestic companies to take a step further in growth. For companies lacking export experience, the Trade Association will provide know-how and information to nurture confident domestic companies in exports and actively support their transformation into export companies.”
