Online First-Come, First-Served Registration Opens from the 16th on Gyeongnam University Admission Information Center Website
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Office of Education will hold the ‘Ijoha 2022 Parents' College Admission Expo’ at Changwon Namsan High School on June 4.
The expo, held under the theme ‘Everything about College Admission, Enjoy with Your Child in Daily Life,’ will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for about 2,000 middle and high school students and their parents.
Centered around six themed halls including sharing, communication, and consideration, a college admission program featuring invited college admission officials will be prepared.
At the Admission Counseling Hall 1 of the expo, one-on-one customized counseling related to the 2023 college entrance will be provided for high school seniors and their parents.
In 15 counseling spaces, a team of college admission specialists composed of local admission expert teachers will be present.
At Hall 2, the University-specific Counseling Hall, 11 universities will operate open counseling spaces; Hall 3, the Department Special Lecture Hall, will feature 12 departments from 10 universities; and Hall 4, the College Admission Explanation Hall, operated by 12 universities, will offer one-on-one counseling and briefings with college admission officials.
Hall 5, the Special Lecture Hall on Admission Types, will provide customized admission information and special lectures focusing on the latest college admission procedures, while Hall 6, the Middle School Special Lecture Hall, will present basic information on college admission procedures, customized high school admission preparation linked to college admission, and career exploration directions for middle school students.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on the 16th, and applicants can click the ‘Apply for Expo’ notification window on the Gyeongnam College Admission Information Center website.
Accompanying family members must apply individually, and a receipt must be brought on the day of the event for entry.
An education office official said, “The Ijoha Parents' College Admission Expo, along with the student-centered Ijoha College Admission Fair, is gaining high popularity among students and parents.”

Choi Byungheon, Director of the School Policy Bureau, said, “We hope this will be an opportunity to increase parents' understanding of the complex college admission procedures and resolve their questions,” adding, “We expect it to be a collaborative venue for college admission where schools, families, the education office, and universities communicate and cooperate.”
