Elementary Student Killed After Being Hit by City Bus Making a Right Turn
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Junho] An elementary school student was killed after being hit by a city bus making a right turn.
The Gwangju Northern Police Station announced on the 12th that bus driver Mr. A was booked without detention on charges of violating the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling (negligent homicide).
Mr. A is accused of hitting and killing an elementary school student who was crossing the crosswalk at an intersection in Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, while attempting to make a right turn around 5 p.m. the previous day.
The victim was immediately transported to the hospital after the accident but died.
