National Sejong Library Operates Program to Enhance Humanities Competencies of Public Officials
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The National Sejong Library, in collaboration with the Personal Information Protection Commission of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is operating a reading-based collaborative cultural program to cultivate the humanities literacy of public officials.
First, on the 13th, a keynote lecture titled "Humanities Lecture for a Joyful Life, If Life Becomes a Festival" will be held at the Personal Information Protection Commission in the Government Seoul Office, delivered by Professor Kim Sang-geun of the Divinity College at Yonsei University.
A second lecture is planned for October. Additionally, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold a book event for all employees in May and will promote a book review contest from November to December.

Director Lee Min-seok stated, "As a policy information specialized library, the National Sejong Library is promoting multifaceted cooperative projects with government agencies, public institutions, and national research institutes," adding, "We hope that this collaborative cultural program will expand the role of resource rooms (libraries) within government ministries, contributing more to the development of creative policy capabilities among public officials. We will continue to expand government ministry collaboration programs to spread a reading culture and activate the use of resource rooms within government ministries."
