Korea Citi Bank, Full-Scale Expansion of Corporate Finance Including ESG Management
Yoo Myung-soon, President of Citibank Korea, unveiled a business strategy focused on corporate finance.
According to Citibank Korea on the 12th, Yoo stated at a recent town hall meeting attended by key executives that the bank will enhance its corporate finance business capabilities and expand synergies among core businesses. Additionally, it will prioritize ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management. The bank will also take measures to protect customers during the gradual phase-out of consumer finance.
Citibank Korea plans to reorganize its corporate finance system promptly. Utilizing its global network, it aims to actively support domestic companies' overseas sales and investment activities while accelerating growth in rapidly expanding future industries such as digital, bio, and ESG sectors.

Citibank Korea is diversifying its products by attracting numerous new corporate clients and offering solutions such as product hedge solutions, overseas remittance, and global cash management services. Furthermore, it plans to strengthen ESG management centered around the ESG council and expand partnerships. Yoo emphasized, "This is a time of change and challenge, a time for renewal and leap," adding, "I am confident that we can successfully navigate this transitional period for sustainable growth."
