At the Heart of European Startups in Germany: "Scale Up!"
[Asia Economy Reporter Sunmi Park] On the 12th, KOTRA will hold the ‘K-Scaleup Challenge Online Pitching’ event to support the entry of promising domestic startups into Germany.
This event was planned to showcase the strengths of domestic startups to German investors and to nurture them to a global level in the long term. KOTRA Hamburg Trade Center is collaborating with KIC Europe (Global Innovation Center), a startup support organization under the Ministry of Science and ICT, to share rapidly changing trends in the German startup market and to discover Korea-Germany business cooperation demands.
Germany has infrastructure for startups along with foreigner-friendly policies within Europe, boasting the second highest proportion of foreign founders (20.8%) after Silicon Valley in the United States. In the case of Berlin, it is highly rated for accessibility and connectivity as it is located in the center of the European continent.
Ten domestic startups in fields such as robot development, metaverse, AI solutions, and eco-friendly technologies will participate in this online pitching. Banu? Balk, Deputy Director of the German Startup Association, will present the current status of startups in Germany and Berlin, followed by Eric Kr?ger, Team Leader of DB Mindbox, a startup acceleration organization under the German Railway Authority, who will explain the German mobility industry.
Additionally, Sujin Lee, CEO of Neofact, an AI-based rehabilitation training solution startup, will participate as a speaker to share vivid experiences of entering the German market.
