Incheon Airport Corporation Holds ESG Meeting with Citizen Participation Innovation Group
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 11th that it held the ‘Incheon Airport Citizen Participation Innovation Group ESG Meeting’ to discuss ESG ideas with the public.
The Incheon Airport Citizen Participation Innovation Group is a public participation consultative body composed of academia, local community organizations, partner companies, and the general public to jointly discuss the corporation’s ESG management innovation and realization of social value from the public’s perspective. Since its launch in 2018, the 4th Innovation Group is currently active.
Earlier, the corporation conducted the ‘Incheon Airport ESG Public Proposal Contest’ from the 20th of last month to the 1st of this month to discover and promote ESG projects needed by the public from their perspective, receiving a total of 818 proposals. This meeting was held to discuss the proposals submitted to the contest. Lee Hee-jung, Vice President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, and about 20 members of the Citizen Participation Innovation Group attended and held discussions.
The attendees shared the ESG promotion achievements of Incheon Airport and future directions. They took time to concretize the project contents and review various promotion plans related to ▲realizing an eco-friendly airport ▲socially responsible management ▲integrity, ethics, and human rights management. The corporation plans to reflect and promote the key tasks discussed at the meeting in Incheon Airport’s ESG promotion projects.
