[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Mobile financial platform Toss has begun recruiting talent with less than three years of experience for the Product Owner (PO) position, which oversees products and services.
Toss operator Viva Republica announced on the 9th that it is starting this 'Next PO' recruitment. A PO is responsible for the launch and growth of the assigned product. They lead a small team, set the business direction for individual products, and have full operational authority. Within Toss, they are referred to as the 'CEO of a small startup.'
Toss calls those with less than three years of experience 'Next' and aims to discover talented individuals with potential. This recruitment is being conducted to find Next POs who will launch new Toss products. Candidates with experience in mobile service operations, strategy, development, or other related fields are eligible to apply. The recruitment scale is in the double digits.
Applicants can complete their registration by entering basic personal information on the Toss Next PO recruitment website by the 18th. On the 21st, a 'PO Fit Test' will be held to assess problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. Questions such as 'ways to increase peer-to-peer transfers' may be asked. This is expected to evaluate the abilities of all applicants. The aim is to move away from experience-centered evaluations and focus on creative problem-solving skills. After the Fit Test, individual interviews and other selection stages will follow, all conducted online.
