Lunch Meeting Between South Korea and Japan's Senior Nuclear Envoys: "Condemn North Korea's Ballistic Missile Launch, Call for Return to Dialogue"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The chief nuclear negotiators of South Korea and Japan met on the 4th to condemn North Korea's ballistic missiles and urge a return to dialogue.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on that day, Noh Kyu-duk, head of the Korea Peninsula Peace Negotiation Headquarters, and Takehiro Funakoshi, Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held lunch consultations.
Both sides pointed out that North Korea's ballistic missile launches clearly violate multiple UN Security Council resolutions and constitute a serious threat not only to the Korean Peninsula but to the international community as a whole, condemning these actions. They also urged North Korea to immediately cease further provocative acts and return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that both sides agreed to closely monitor North Korea's developments and maintain close communication, continuing cooperation for a unified international response, including measures at the UN Security Council level.
