[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] The police have launched a full-scale investigation into the case where members of the fan cafe of Kim Geon-hee, wife of President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol, reported netizens who posted malicious comments on news related to Mrs. Kim.
Lee Seunghwan (48), the representative of Mrs. Kim's fan cafe "Geonsarang," stated in a phone interview with Asia Economy on the 4th, "I am scheduled to undergo an accuser investigation at Mapo Police Station at 2 p.m. on the 6th."
On the 14th, Lee filed a complaint with Mapo Police Station regarding 12 malicious comments targeting Mrs. Kim under the Information and Communications Network Act for defamation. He also announced plans to file additional complaints against about 30 more individuals selected from online news comments and social networking services (SNS).
