Korea GM Sold 19,785 Units Domestically and Abroad Last Month... 8% Decrease YoY
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Korea GM announced on the 3rd that it sold 19,785 units domestically and internationally last month. This is about an 8% decrease compared to the same period last year.
In the domestic market, 2,951 units were sold, about 46% less than the same period last year. All models showed negative performance. Exports last month reached 16,834 units, an increase of about 5% compared to the same period. Chevrolet's compact SUV Trailblazer, along with its sibling model Buick Encore GX, exported a total of 8,003 units. The compact car Spark increased by 57%, and the mid-size sedan Malibu rose by 224%, continuing the upward trend for two consecutive months.

Carlos Minert, Vice President of Korea GM, said, "Deliveries of Tahoe and Bolt EUV have been taking place since April," adding, "There are difficulties due to the prolonged vehicle semiconductor supply issues across the industry and the resulting production disruptions."
