[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Samyang Foods, the first investment company in the Gyeongnam Miryang Nano Convergence National Industrial Complex, established a new factory on the 2nd for the first time in 30 years.

The Miryang factory is a state-of-the-art smart factory with a total investment of 240 billion KRW, built on a total area of 70,303㎡ with one basement floor and five above-ground floors.
Equipped with automated noodle and soup production lines and export-dedicated production lines, it will produce 600 million ramen noodles annually.
Gyeongsangnam-do, together with Miryang City and Korea Land and Housing Corporation, signed an investment agreement with Samyang Foods for the Miryang Nano Convergence National Industrial Complex in December 2019 during the Gyeongnam Province Investment Company Appreciation Day, and began constructing the new factory in October the following year, holding the completion ceremony on this day.
Samyang Foods expects the Miryang factory to serve as an export forward base and to enhance the status of K-food by leading with its produced products.
Once the production lines operate normally after completion, more than 150 new jobs will be created, contributing to local and youth employment.
They plan to expand and nurture the business through continuous facility expansion and new product development.
A provincial official stated, “Gyeongnam Province has established and operates a one-stop corporate support system from investment planning to completion,” adding, “We proactively listen to and resolve difficulties encountered during the investment process, actively supporting early completion of corporate investments and stable continuation of employment and production.”
