View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The reason why Kim Dong-yeon, the Democratic Party candidate, was considered the most suitable candidate for the next governor of Gyeonggi Province in the upcoming June 1 local elections was because he is a former economic bureaucrat, according to the highest response rate.
On the 29th, Asia Economy commissioned Realmeter to conduct a survey from the 27th to the 28th, receiving responses from 1,010 voters aged 18 and over. Among the 427 respondents who answered that Kim was the most suitable candidate for the next governor of Gyeonggi Province, 36.9% cited "because he is a former economic bureaucrat" as the reason, which was the highest.
Following that, 32.1% gave the reason "because he is the Democratic Party candidate," showing a similar response rate.
Next were "because of his excellent ability to implement pledges" at 11.6%, "because of his outstanding communication skills" at 8.2%, and "because of his high recognition" at 2.0% in order.

This survey was conducted by Realmeter on behalf of Asia Economy over two days, the 27th and 28th, by attempting to contact 57,108 voters aged 18 and over residing in Gyeonggi Province. A total of 1,010 completed the survey, resulting in a response rate of 1.8%. The survey was conducted using an automated response method with 90% mobile and 10% landline calls, employing a random digit dialing method through a randomly generated sampling frame. Statistical adjustments were made using rim weighting by gender, age group, and region based on the resident registration population statistics from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety as of March 2022. The sampling error is ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
