Gwangju Dongbu Fire Station Promotes Installation of Residential Fire Alarms
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Dongbu Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City has launched a campaign to promote the installation of residential fire alarms.
This is to prevent residential fires in spring and to enable prompt response in the early stages of a fire.
Residential fire safety equipment consists of residential fire alarms that notify the occurrence of a fire at an early stage and fire extinguishers capable of fire suppression. It is mandated to be installed in all residences except apartments and dormitories to protect precious lives and property from fire.
Residential fire alarms must be attached to the ceiling, with at least one installed in each compartmented room such as bedrooms and kitchens.
By pressing the test button once, the fire alarm sound can be checked to regularly verify its operation and replace the battery as needed.
