Ferrari Unveils '296 GTS' Equipped with V6 Engine
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Ferrari announced on the 20th that it has unveiled the latest mid-rear engine 2-seater berlinetta spider model, the '296 GTS', online.
The 296 GTS uses the 663 cv 120° V6 engine first introduced in the 296 GTB. This is combined with an electric motor that can deliver an additional output of 122 kW (167 cv). It is the first 6-cylinder engine installed in a Ferrari road-legal spider vehicle. It delivers a class-leading 830 cv.
The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) pedal response time of the 296 GTS has been reduced to zero. It can also travel 25 km in pure electric eDrive mode.
The retractable hardtop (RHT) provides a very comfortable ride. It takes only 14 seconds to open or close. The folding roof splits into two parts and folds flat over the front part of the engine, allowing the engine bay heat to dissipate as before and maintaining the overall design balance.
Additionally, a window that clearly shows the new V6 engine can be installed on the rear part of the engine cover. When the roof is folded, the interior space and rear deck are separated by a height-adjustable glass rear screen, allowing occupants to enjoy optimal comfort even at high speeds.

Like the SF90 Stradale, the 296 GTS offers the Assetto Fiorano package, which includes lightweight options and aero modifications (changes to aerodynamic elements), especially for customers who want to experience extreme power and maximum performance on the track.
