'TIGER REITs Real Estate Infrastructure ETF' Net Assets Surpass 200 Billion Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Junho] Mirae Asset Global Investments' 'TIGER REITs Real Estate Infrastructure ETF' has surpassed 200 billion KRW in net assets.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 12th, as of the closing price on the 14th, the net assets of this ETF were recorded at 211.1 billion KRW.
This ETF has highlighted the potential for real asset value appreciation due to inflation and relative stability in volatile markets, surpassing 200 billion KRW in net assets just 2 years and 9 months after its listing on July 19, 2019. Since the beginning of the year, individual investors have net purchased 36.4 billion KRW, while insurance companies and other corporations have net purchased 15 billion KRW and 13.5 billion KRW respectively.
The TIGER REITs Real Estate Infrastructure ETF focuses on income generated during the holding period and allows investment in real estate and infrastructure with small amounts. This ETF diversifies investments among high-quality REITs with market capitalizations exceeding 200 billion KRW, such as Lotte REITs, ESR Kendall Square REITs, SK REITs, JR Global REITs, and infrastructure investment companies like Macquarie Infrastructure.
The ETF's underlying index is the 'FnGuide REITs Real Estate Infrastructure' index. This index selects its investment universe by classifying KOSPI-listed stocks into special asset groups consisting of REITs and infrastructure, and general equity groups consisting of common and preferred stocks. If there are 12 or more special asset group stocks, the portfolio is composed solely of special assets.
Kwon Oh-sung, Executive Director and Head of ETF Marketing at Mirae Asset Global Investments, said, "As market volatility has recently increased, more investors are seeking low-volatility income-type products, leading to inflows into the TIGER REITs Real Estate Infrastructure ETF. Mirae Asset will continue to strive to provide investors with a variety of ETFs."
