NATO Military Committee Chair: "Concerned About North Korean Missiles... International Community Working for Denuclearization"
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] Rob Bauer, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, who is visiting Korea, expressed concern on the 12th about North Korea's successive launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and stated that he will cooperate with the international community to persuade compliance with denuclearization.
At a press briefing held at the Polish Embassy in Korea on the same day, Chairman Bauer said, "There is concern as North Korea is increasingly developing ICBM capabilities that can reach NATO territory," adding, "NATO is working together with the international community to ensure North Korea complies with its denuclearization commitments."
Regarding the possibility of North Korea assisting Russia's invasion of Ukraine, he responded, "There are various possibilities, but we have not yet seen any evidence that such a thing is happening."

Chairman Bauer also stated, "Korea has already made significant contributions through non-lethal, humanitarian, and financial support, which is very important to Ukraine," and added, "I hope this support will continue under the newly launched government."
