"Will Self-Test Kits Get Cheaper?" ... Price Cap of 6,000 Won Lifted Starting Today
MFDS "Will Establish and Implement Necessary Measures if Price Disruption Acts Are Detected"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] From the 5th, the measure designating the sales price of COVID-19 self-test kits at 6,000 won will be lifted.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced yesterday afternoon, "As self-test kits are being distributed and supplied stably, the measure designating the sales price will be lifted." Previously, to improve the distribution of self-test kits, the Ministry had designated the sales price at 6,000 won starting February 15.
Even after lifting the price designation measure, the Ministry plans to continuously monitor the distribution and price trends of self-test kits and promptly implement necessary measures if any price manipulation is detected.
