On that day, Mokpo Maritime Police awarded appointment certificates to four civilian interpreters of special language groups and held a meeting with officials from the relevant departments.
According to Mokpo Maritime Police, due to the recent increase in security demands for special language groups such as Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Indonesia, four new interpreters were appointed in addition to the existing 20 civilian interpreters covering 10 languages.
During the subsequent meeting, information on drug and international sex crime methods was shared, and interpreters' difficulties and suggestions were heard, expecting to improve work efficiency through mutual bonding.
