[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Lee Junhyung] Moon Seung-wook, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, reported assets worth approximately 2.7 billion KRW. Minister Moon's assets increased by about 500 million KRW compared to last year.
According to the 'Regular Asset Change Report' disclosed by the Government Ethics Committee on the 31st, Minister Moon's assets amounted to 2.7142 billion KRW, an increase of 496.3 million KRW from last year's 2.218 billion KRW. Minister Moon reported owning land (22 million KRW), buildings (1.429 billion KRW), and deposits (1.08 billion KRW), among others.
The building owned by Minister Moon is a complex building located in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, with its value rising from 1.163 billion KRW last year to 1.429 billion KRW this year, an increase of about 266 million KRW. During the same period, deposits increased by 100 million KRW from 980 million KRW to 1.08 billion KRW.
Minister Moon newly acquired listed stocks worth 130 million KRW. It was revealed that Minister Moon owns stocks in companies such as Microsoft and Alphabet, the parent company of Google.
