[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] The Jeonbuk Namwon Community Support Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is accelerating efforts to revitalize community culture this year as well.
On the 30th, the Center announced that it will operate a ‘Community Media Classroom’ program at the Center as a practical education and capacity-building method so that citizens can communicate and engage in community activities online.
Through this program, starting in May, an educational course linked with a broadcasting professional organization will be conducted to strengthen citizens’ capabilities by organizing processes such as ▲one-person broadcasting ▲studio shooting and video production using various equipment by forming teams, and broadcasting.
The program will operate a series of processes including active use of smartphones, cameras, and lighting equipment for one-person broadcasting, as well as setting storyboards considering the purpose, content, and direction of the video, using various equipment, video editing, and broadcasting.
It is expected to contribute to laying the foundation for revitalizing the social economy by nurturing resources that can produce promotional videos for products of social economy enterprises in Namwon, such as creating product introduction videos.
The Center also planned a program called ‘Dreaming Farmer School,’ which supports social agriculture where about 10 young people with developmental disabilities and their families can experience farming and acquire agricultural skills for economic independence.
To this end, in cooperation with related organizations including the Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Center, the program will be conducted at an educational farm for returnees located in Jusaeng-myeon, aiming to provide economic independence measures for young people with developmental disabilities and their families and to dream of a society where no one is excluded from opportunities.
Along with this, the Center plans to operate a ‘Village Travel Operator School’ that creates village travel courses in the villages, eup, myeon, and dong where people live and discovers registered village experience businesses.
By planning tours and experience courses utilizing village resources, producing village travel storybooks, developing village-level tourism courses and cultural content, and laying the foundation for forming village enterprises, the Center aims to build an active and proactive village-level tourism infrastructure.
As before, the Center will operate ▲‘Dreaming Village School,’ where citizens can learn about what kind of village they dream of and what ‘I’ and ‘we’ can do for the village ▲‘Visiting Community School,’ which visits communities unable to participate in the Center’s programs due to circumstances ▲‘Community Growth School’ for exchange and advancement of community participants.
A city official said, “Despite the COVID-19 situation, a place connecting many citizens was prepared through the Namwon Community Support Center, and through this, we were able to hear the valuable voices of the citizens.”
