Gyeonggi-do Supports Youth Scar and Tattoo Treatment Costs... Psychological Counseling Provided Concurrently
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will provide support for scar and tattoo treatment costs and psychological counseling for youth.
Gyeonggi Province recently announced on the 30th that it will carry out the "At-Risk Youth Scar Removal Support Project" as the first resident participation budget project this year, following the spread of "self-harm certification shots" caused by scars and tattoos among youth on social networking services (SNS) like a trend.
The province plans to support treatment costs for scar or tattoo removal for at-risk youth who wish to remove scars caused by self-harm or violence, and will also assign professional counselors to provide psychological counseling if needed.
The project targets at-risk youth aged 9 to 24 in the province who wish to have scars removed. The Gyeonggi Youth Counseling and Welfare Center's case evaluation committee will select candidates considering the youth's crisis situation. Youth in need of assistance can contact the Gyeonggi Youth Counseling and Welfare Center (031-248-1318 → extension 403).
