Jeonju City Officially Opens Deokjin Health Center
Serving as a Hub for Public Health Medical Services in Jeonju Deokjin Area
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju City announced on the 29th that Deokjin Health Center, which will serve as a hub for public health medical services in the Deokjin area, has opened.
Deokjin Health Center is the second health center in Jeonju, established following Jeonju City Health Center to enhance citizens' welfare and reduce health disparities.
In particular, it will provide high-quality health services for local residents as a key hub for public health medical services in the Deokjin area in the future.
Deokjin Health Center is equipped with facilities such as the ‘Mind Healing Center,’ which offers various mental health services including psychological counseling and mental health assessments; the ‘Rehabilitation Exercise Room,’ which helps rehabilitate persons with disabilities and improve their health status; and the ‘Oral Treatment Center,’ which provides education and treatment to promote proper oral habits.
Additionally, there are examination rooms, reception and civil affairs offices, vaccination rooms, a health promotion center, a smoking cessation clinic, a health education room, a dementia program room, and rest areas.
Due to COVID-19 response duties, Deokjin Health Center will initially provide only some services such as medical and pharmaceutical civil affairs, and plans to fully resume core services such as mind healing projects and rehabilitation health projects for persons with disabilities depending on the COVID-19 situation.
Previously, Jeonju City completed the construction of Deokjin Health Center in May last year to expand public medical infrastructure in the Deokjin area, but delayed the official opening due to the impact of COVID-19 and utilized it as the Deokjin Vaccination Center for COVID-19 vaccines.
