Kakao announced on the 29th that Kim was appointed as the chairman of the board through a board meeting held immediately after the shareholders' meeting.
New Chairman Kim is recognized for leading innovation and globalization in the domestic content business structure, having worked at OnMedia, CJENM, Kakao M, and Kakao Entertainment since 2000.
Currently, as co-head of the Kakao Community Alignment Center (CAC), he plays a role in coordinating and supporting the overall strategic direction of the Kakao community from the perspective of sustainable growth.
